This is a fantastic Western Canada Moose taxidermy shoulder mount, posed with the head in a semi-upright position and looking to the viewers left out into the room. This piece features a great set of antlers with palm lengths of 32 1/8″ and 30 1/8″ and palm widths of 8 3/8″ and 8 4/8″. The hide itself is in really nice condition as well and features thick, soft hair. All this combined with expert quality taxidermy earns this item our Excellent™ overall quality rating. All applicable dimensions are included to help ensure this item will fit within your intended display space.

– There is already a hanger attached to the back of this item.

– The item will hang on a properly anchored bolt screw.

Animal Description

About the Western Canada Moose (Alces alces andersoni)

The Western Canada Moose is a subspecies of the moose found in British Columbia, Eastern Yukon, Northwest Territories, Northern Wisconsin, Michigan, Northern Minnesota, and North Dakota and New England. They are the second-largest subspecies of moose (behind Alaskan Yukon), with bulls (males) weighing up to 1,600 pounds and females weighing up to 800 pounds. The Western Canada Moose will typically only come in contact with another moose during the mating season when males compete for breeding rights. Bulls (males) use their antlers to fight to help determine which one is dominant.
