This is a unique Ringneck Pheasant taxidermy mount, posed in a flying position. Normally when you have a flying pheasant mount it is flying to either the right or left but this mount has the pheasant flying out towards the room. This gives the viewer a better view of the underside of the wing and the belly. This pheasant features great plumage, wonderful feathers, and stunning taxidermy craftsmanship. About the Ringneck Pheasant (Phasianus colchicus)
The Ringneck Pheasant (or Common Pheasant) is identified partly by (and named after) the unique white ring around its neck. They can grow to nearly 6 lbs with an overall length of 30 inches or more. Males often display bright colors to attract their mates, while the females most often exhibit muted and camouflaged colors to help hide them from predators and better protect their young. Pheasant can fly over 50 miles an hour when fleeing from other Birds of Prey.
