About the Cope’s Gray Tree Frog (Hyla versicolor)
The Cope’s Gray is a fairly large North American tree frog and can be found in nearly any habitat type with a localized water source. In fact, these frogs can also be found on the siding of homeowners’ garages where they can hide from predators with their gray camouflage pattern and also presents them with feeding opportunities. This camouflage pattern often aids them in arboreal use when blending in with bark and leafy vegetation. These frogs put on quite the musical vocalizations during their breeding season in the months of March-August.
