For sale, we have a stunning Black Bear taxidermy shoulder mount. This wonderful shoulder mount is posed in an upright position and is turned to the viewers left side. The hair is the classic jet black with slight brown around the snout. The hide on this black bear was professionally tanned and prepped into this amazing piece of artwork. Since this is a large black bear it is fair that we assume that it had an estimated live weight of a whopping 325 lbs. All of this combined with the top-notch craftsmanship helps earn this item our Premier ™ overall quality rating. All applicable dimensions are included to help ensure this item will fit within your intended display space.

About the Black Bear (Ursus americanus)

Black Bears are North America’s most common and familiar type of bear. Typically found in wooded areas, black bears are native to North America, though most can be found in Canada and the northern United States. The black bear’s diet consists mainly of fruit, plants, and insects, though they also eat fish and small mammals. As the name implies, most of these bears are entirely black, although some can appear cinnamon in color. Males typically weigh in around 300 lbs, while females are usually closer to half that. Weight fluctuates depending on the season, and black bear usually weighs 30% more just before their winter hibernation.
