This is a phenomenal life-size Black Bear taxidermy mount, posed standing on its hind legs on a custom-designed and elegantly assembled base with realistic faux foliage and wood habitat accents. These accents enrich ones viewing pleasure by adding natural realism to such a beautiful bear. This bear was a massive boar with an estimated live weight of 450 pounds, black bears don’t get much bigger then this. He has an outstanding hide and incredibly soft, thick black hair, real claws and a very realistic facial expression giving the bear a very vicious demeanor. About the Black Bear (Ursus americanus)

Black Bears are North America’s most common and familiar type of bear. Typically found in wooded areas, black bears are native to North America, though most can be found in Canada and the northern United States. The black bear’s diet consists mainly of fruit, plants, and insects, though they also eat fish and small mammals. As the name implies, most of these bears are entirely black, although some can appear cinnamon in color. Males typically weigh in around 300 lbs, while females are usually closer to half that. Weight fluctuates depending on the season, and black bear usually weighs 30% more just before their winter hibernation.
