It is posed with the head in an upright position looking straight out into the room, and features great hair and fantastic horns, exceeding the requirement for a SCI Bronze Medal with a score of 42 7/8″. Animal Description

About the Blesbok (Damaliscus pygargus phillipsi)

The White Blesbok (or Blesbuck) is a large antelope found in the southern region of Africa. Blesbok coloration is often a deep sienna or dark brown through the back, with a white blaze found on the face, and a creamy white running down the underbelly, flank and parts of the legs. The White Blesbok, however, has little to no brown coloration and is often a creamy white and tan color throughout the entire body. Both the male and female have ‘ringed’ horns that initially curve backward, with a forward curl towards the tip, and commonly weigh between 125-175 lbs. Blesbok’s preferred habitat includes open plains and grasslands with sources for water. When trying to escape from predators, Blesbok can run at speeds exceeding 40 mph.
