Animal Description

About the Genet Cat (Genetta genetta)

The Genet Cat, also known as the small-spotted genet, can be found throughout African, Europe, and the middle east. It’s diet consists of a variety of small mammals, birds & amphibians. The Genet is a nocturnal species and can be found in a variety of areas, including rocky terrains, cave lands, and forests. Its coloration is a pale grey with a black-spotted coat and a striped tail, with big eyes and ears, short legs, and claws that can be retracted back.
