For sale, we have a splendid Wood Duck pair taxidermy mount, featuring a drake and a hen both posed flying to the viewer’s right side affixed to a piece of driftwood. The feathers and coloration are both in terrific condition featuring black, green, blue, and white highlights. All of this combines to earn this mount our Excellent™ overall quality rating. All applicable measurements and dimensions are provided in the specifications section to help ensure this item will fit within your intended space, as well as meet expectations regarding the item’s featured attribute sizes, scores, etc.

Animal Description

About the Wood Duck (Aix sponsa)

The wood duck is a brilliantly colored medium-sized perching duck found in North America. The males have iridescent plumage and red eyes. The females lack brilliant coloring and have brown feathers with white eyes. However, like the males, the females have feather crests on their heads. Like mallards, wood ducks migrate north for breeding and south for the winter. Wood ducks eat berries, acorns, various seeds, and insects.
