For sale, we have a superior Whitetail Deer wall pedestal taxidermy mount, posed in an upright position looking slightly to the viewer’s right out into the room. This buck features a gorgeous hide, stunning hair, masterful taxidermy craftsmanship, and a giant set of non-typical antlers that earn a Safari Club International Silver Medal with a score of 165 2/8″. This buck has been professionally cleaned to ensure it lasts a lifetime. Since this is a wall pedestal, it hangs on a two-piece hanger (one half mounted to the deer and the other mounted to the wall), so we will send you both pieces. All applicable measurements and dimensions are provided in the specifications section to help ensure this item will fit within your intended space, as well as meet expectations regarding the item’s featured attribute sizes, scores, etc.

– This Whitetail Deer exceeds the Safari Club International Non-Typical Silver Medal trophy book score requirement.

– A wall pedestal mount is different from a shoulder mount as it is slightly shifted away from the wall.

About the Whitetail Deer (Odocoileus virginianus)

The Whitetail Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) is one of the most commonly recognized animals in all of North America. The male whitetail deer is often referred to as a ‘Buck” and can grow to 300 lbs, producing antlers that are fully grown and shed annually. Whitetail deer are hunted in nearly every state throughout the U.S., with trophy-class antlered males being the most desirable. Their habitat includes everything from the open prairie to deep forests, making them extremely adaptable to various surroundings. Whitetail deer have a specialized stomach that allows them to eat plants, shoots, and grass, as well as various mushrooms that are otherwise toxic to humans.
