This is a great Whitetail Deer shoulder taxidermy mount. This is a newer mount style called at ‘Wall Pedestal’ It resembles a pedestal mount with a partially finished back, yet still hangs on the wall, adding a unique character and styling. It is posed with the head in an upright position looking to the deer’s right side out into the room. This Deer has very nice hair and great antlers, with a SCI score of 147 3/8″ and a B&C Score of 140 7/8″. The taxidermy work is also very well done, earning this item our exceptional Excellent Plus™ overall quality rating. All applicable measurements and dimensions are provided to help ensure this item will fit within your intended space, as well as meet expectations regarding the item’s featured attribute sizes, scores, etc…

About the Whitetail Deer (Odocoileus virginianus)
The Whitetail Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) is one of the most commonly recognized animals in all of north america. The male whitetail deer is often referred to as a ‘Buck” and can grow to 300 lbs producing antlers that are fully grown and shed once each year. Whitetail deer are hunted in nearly every state throughout the U.S. with trophy class antlered males being the most desirable. Their habitat includes everything from the open prarie to deep forests, making them extremely adaptable to a variety of surroundings. Whitetail deer have a specialized stomach that allows them to eat plants, shoots and grasses as well as various mushrooms that are otherwise toxic to humans.
