This is a great Water Buffalo horn carving. The bottom ‘bridge’ It is carved from a solid piece of Water Buffalo horn, with the top depicting a group of Walking Water Buffalos that are hand carved and attached to the ‘bridge’. The craftsmanship of this piece is excellent with great detail.

Animal Description

About the Water Buffalo (Bubalus bubalis)

The Water Buffalo can be found on in a variety of countries where it has been introduced, including Asia, Australia, South America, and North America. Their massive and unique horns extend outward initially from the head and then curl upward, downward or inward, depending on the exact species and breed. The Water Buffalo’s diet typically includes aquatic plants such as reeds, bulrush, and marsh grass.
