About the Savannah Buffalo
Savannah Buffalos often tend to to chip and crack their horns. This is especially prominent in the area referred to as the ‘Boss’. The Boss is the extra wide area of the horn located directly on top of the Cape Buffalos head. When most taxidermists mount a Cape Buffalo, they will repair the areas of the Boss that were chipped, cracked, flaked off, etc. This is a common practice and nearly every cape buffalo we come across will have some repair work done in this area. Customers should always expect some form of repair to be present when ordering a cape buffalo Shoulder Mount or Horn Mount. Feel free to contact us with any questions regarding an individual mount.
