About the Redhead Duck (Aythya americana)
The Redhead Duck is a medium-sized “diving duck”, typically distributed in the prairies and lake regions of North America. They have a slate-grey back and sides, with a beautiful brownish-red head. They feed mostly on aquatic vegetation and fly together in the infamous “flying V” formation.
