About the Red Squirrel (Tamiasciurus hudsonicus)

The Red Squirrel or pine squirrels, like the grey and black squirrel, can be found throughout the world’s forested areas. They are generally a bit smaller than grey squirrels but much more territorial. Their habitat tends to be any wooded area, though they prefer dense forestation and pine trees with interlocking tree canopies for ease of movement to stay off the ground and away from predators.
