This is a great Alaskan Moose shoulder taxidermy mount. It is posed with the head in a semi upright position looking slightly to it’s right side and out into the room. This moose has a great set of antlers with an outside spread of 50 0/8″ and palm widths well over 10″. The antlers are detachable from the head using a steel peg system, making it much easier to move through doors and hang on the wall. It has really nice hide and hair quality with expert taxidermy work, earning our Nice Plus™ overall quality rating. All applicable dimensions are included to help ensure this item will fit within your intended display space.

– This item comes with a hanger already attached to the back.

– It will hang on a single properly anchored large headed bolt or screw.

Detachable Horns and Antlers

Detachable Horns & Antlers make handling, moving, shipping and hanging taxidermy mounts considerably more convenient. In most cases, a square steel peg system is used to connect the horns to the animal. This system makes both attaching and removing the antlers simple and effortless while still remaining accurate and precise for a correct fit every time. Great care and attention to detail is applied when making any of our taxidermy mounts detachable to ensure that angle, tilt and spread of the horns or antlers remains the same after being detached. No item will ever be detached and altered in order to increase the spread, score, or general appearance of the item. When possible, we always try to make our horns detachable to add value and convienence for our customers. The exception for us not making horns and antlers detachable comes when the animal reaches record book size, at which point both collectors and record keeping organizations require the horns or antlers to be original and unaltered in any way.

We also include other features such as horn and antler length (when applicable) as well as any other key attributes and descriptions to better identify each items unique characteristics.
