This is a stunning Alaskan Brown Bear full skull mount, featuring a professionally cleaned and whitened skull. As typically encountered with bear skulls from old bears this skull has missing and cracked teeth. This skull came from a mature Alaskan Brown Bear which explains its massive size. We had this skull officially measured and it was a whopping 27 13/16″, which surpasses the requirement for Boone & Crocket Awards.  These combined factors earn this piece our prestigious World Class™ overall quality rating. About the Kodiak Brown Bear (Ursus arctos middendorffi)

The Kodiak Brown Bear has become a distinguished subspecies due to their island habitat isolation. They get their name from the island they inhabit, Kodiak Island and Admiralty Islands. Living on this island for so long without any immigration or emigration, they have become genetically diversified, thus classifying them as a new subspecies of Brown Bear. This bear is, in fact, the largest known subspecies of Brown Bear weighing up to 1500 lbs.
