This Tahr features the classic shaggy hair, stunning taxidermy craftsmanship, and a magnificent set of horns that earns an SCI gross score of 35 2/8″. If you are looking to start a collection, or just simply add to one, then this is the piece for you! All applicable measurements and dimensions are provided in the specifications section to help ensure this item will fit within your intended space, as well as meet expectations regarding the item’s featured attribute sizes, scores, etc.

About the Himalayan Tahr (Hemitragus jemlahicus)

The Himalayan tahr (or the common tahr) is a large ungulate species found throughout the diverse mountainous regions of the Himalayas. The tahr’s coat is usually shaggy brown or reddish-brown in appearance. They have small heads with large black eyes and curved horns that grow backward, preventing fatal damage to the tahr during the male’s “headbutting” ritual. The tahr has a toed hoof with a rubber-like grip which aids them in navigating the smooth, slippery mountainous surfaces of their habitat.
