About the Green Indian Peacock (Pavo muticus)
The Green Indian Peacock (Peafowl) is found in tropical forests of Southeast Asia. The Green Indian Peacock male can grow upwards of 10ft in length while the females only grow to 4 feet in total length. Within the mating seasons, males will display the “eyespots” known as ocelli, and females have a more vibrant green lacking the eyespots. A Green Indian Peacock is a ground-nesting bird known to lay anywhere from 3 to 6 eggs on a given brood.
