    About the Coyote (Canis latrans)

Coyotes are a mid-size species of canine found exclusively in North and Central America. Though they may look like domestic dogs, coyotes have a 25% higher hearing frequency limit and can reach speeds of up around 40 MPH, making them silent, deadly hunters. Though coyotes have been observed to travel in large groups (or pacs), they primarily hunt in pairs.
