About the Chacma Baboon (Papio Ursinus)
The Chacma Baboon (also known as the Cape Baboon) is one of the largest in the monkey family. Located throughout the southern tip of Africa, these primates display a wide variety of social behaviors and relationships and prefer a healthy diet of seeds, grass, fruit, and insects. Their unusual appearance features a long, dog-like muzzle with heavy, powerful jaws and elongated canine teeth.
