Description of Taxidermy For Sale
For sale, we have a vintage Captain’s Classic Hunting Camp Harvest Display. All scenes are depicted on reclaimed northern American forest wood.
Starting on the left we have a duck display, featuring a Mallard Drake and Hen harvest pose replicating the original print from the late 1800s, 2 hand-carved vintage cork decoys with wood heads, a neatsfoot oil can, a canvas hat, shell vest with shells, and a canvas belt, 2 vintage paper shell boxes, and a fixed blade hunting knife with a leather handle.
Moving on to the middle, we got a nice Moose head with a 42.5″ rack holding a mid-1800s double barrel black powder non-firing shotgun. Sitting on the top shelf is an old hanging miner’s lantern, a baking soda canister, a brass teapot, 2 vintage paper shell boxes, an oil dispenser, and a vintage tin storage container with a lid. Behind the moose are a pair of late 1800s snowshoes, a replica 1948 hunting license, a fixed blade stag handle hunting knife, a machete knife, a vintage hatchet with a wood handle, a hanging water ladle, 2 vintage leather mittens, a vintage leather bag, and a hunting hat.
Onto the right is a Ringneck Pheasant diorama, featuring 2 Ringneck Pheasants harvest pose again replicating the original print from the late 1800s, along with an old hunting hat, a canteen with leather carrying strap, a paper shell box, a stag handle hunting knife with a leather sheath, a shell belt, a small neatsfoot oil can, an old school gun case, and a powder tin.
Everything that you see in the photos comes with the display. The Captain has given this item the master’s touch, adding it to the Captain’s Signature Series, and earning it our Classic™ overall quality rating.
