This is a great Cape Buffalo taxidermy skull & horn european style mount. The horns have a nice outside spread of 39″ and nice boss’s measuring 10 5/8″+ in width, with a score of 96 1/8″. The skull has been professionally cleaned and is in great condition, earning our Nice Plus™ overall quality rating. All applicable dimensions are included to help ensure this item will fit within your intended display space.

– This Cape Buffalo exceeds the Safari Club International Bronze Medal trophy book score requirement.

– There is already a hanger attached to the back of this item.

About the Cape Buffalo (Syncerus caffer caffer)

The cape buffalo thrives in virtually all variations of grassland habitats throughout sub-Saharan Africa, from lowland floodplains to dry savannah. The adult cape buffalo has a relatively thin black coat, while calves usually have a browner coat in color. The horns of the cape buffalo are unique in their design, as they actually “fuse” at the crown of the skull, which is referred to as the “boss.” From the base, the horns turn down and then bend up back towards the crown of the skull.
