About the Bonefish (Albula vulpes)
The Bonefish can grow up to nearly 40” in length and weigh upwards of 20 pounds. They are often silvery with a black dorsal region with some variation in the dorsal color occasionally being a dark green. The Bonefish is amphidromous meaning it migrates from different water bodies or types of water on a regular basis. They are seen moving from warm tropical waters to brackish mud flats to feed.
