For sale, we have a retro Black Crappie taxidermy fish mount, posed swimming to the viewer’s left side and mounted on a barnwood plaque. This fish measures 14.5″ in length, 10″ in girth, and an estimated live weight of 1.5 lbs. The fins, painting, and taxidermy work are all in great shape, making this a perfect piece for a man cave or cabin. All applicable dimensions are included to help ensure this item will fit within your intended display space.

Animal Description

About the Black Crappie (Pomoxis nigromaculatus)

The black crappie is one of two types of crappie (other: white crappie) found throughout freshwater lakes in North America. It shares the same size, shape, and habitat as the black crappie, but it has a lighter silver-green coloration with dark green or grey spotting. Their dorsal fin starts further back along the spine than the black crappie, and their mouths extend down past their eyes. Crappie is typically 4-12 inches long and prefers lakes, reservoirs, and large rivers with little or no current.
