This is a fantastic Alaskan Moose taxidermy shoulder mount, posed with the head in a sneak position and looking straight out into the room. This piece features a great (and incredibly unique) set of antlers with an outside spread of 53 2/8″, and an SCI Bronze Medal score of 427 1/8″. The hide itself is in really nice condition as well, and features thick, soft hair. All this combined with expert quality taxidermy earns this item our Premier Plus™ overall quality rating. All applicable dimensions are included to help ensure this item will fit within your intended display space.

– There is already a hanger attached to the back of this item.

– The item will hang on a properly anchored bolt screw.

About the Alaskan Yukon Moose (Alces alces gigas)

The Alaskan Yukon Moose is a subspecies of the moose and can be found from Alaska to the western Yukon Territory. It is the largest of the moose subspecies. They inhabit boreal forests and deciduous forests. Most of the time, they will be by themselves but will sometimes form small herds. The Alaskan Yukon Moose will typically only come in contact with another moose during the mating season when males compete with each other for breeding rights. Bulls (males) use their antlers to fight to help determine which one is dominant. Moose eat vegetation and shoots from trees. Bulls can weigh over 1,400 pounds, while cows (females) can weigh up to 1,055 pounds.
