This is a great African White Blesbok shoulder taxidermy mount. It is posed with the head in an upright position looking straight out into the room, and features great hair and fantastic horns, exceeding the requirement for a SCI Gold Medal with a score of 50 1/8″. The taxidermy craftsmanship on this item is terrific as well, combining to earn this item our Nice Plus™ overall quality rating. All applicable measurements and dimensions are provided to help ensure this item will fit within your intended space, as well as meet expectations regarding the items featured attribute sizes, scores, etc.

Animal Description

About the Blesbok (Damaliscus pygargus phillipsi)

The White Blesbok (or Blesbuck) is a large antelope found in the southern region of Africa. Blesbok coloration is often a deep sienna or dark brown through the back, with a white blaze found on the face, and a creamy white running down the underbelly, flank and parts of the legs. The White Blesbok, however, has little to no brown coloration and is often a creamy white and tan color throughout the entire body. Both the male and female have ‘ringed’ horns that initially curve backward, with a forward curl towards the tip, and commonly weigh between 125-175 lbs. Blesbok’s preferred habitat includes open plains and grasslands with sources for water. When trying to escape from predators, Blesbok can run at speeds exceeding 40 mph.
