For sale, we have a beautiful Genet Cat taxidermy rug mount. This piece features ultra-soft fur, a professionally tanned hide, a black felt backing protecting against wear, and a black accent border. This is the only genet cat rug we have ever had, so we do not expect it to last! Taxidermy rugs are typically displayed on the floor, but this rug includes d-loops to hang on a wall. If it is displayed on the floor, foot traffic is not recommended, damaging the hair. All applicable measurements and dimensions are provided in the specifications section to help ensure this item will fit within your intended space, as well as meet expectations regarding the item’s featured attribute sizes, scores, etc.

– We do not recommend heavy foot traffic, especially with dirty shoes or boots.

About the Genet Cat (Genetta genetta)

The Genet Cat, also known as the small-spotted genet, can be found throughout African, Europe, and the middle east. It’s diet consists of a variety of small mammals, birds & amphibians. The Genet is a nocturnal species and can be found in a variety of areas, including rocky terrains, cave lands, and forests. Its coloration is a pale grey with a black-spotted coat and a striped tail, with big eyes and ears, short legs, and claws that can be retracted back.
