We have a great African Crested Porcupine taxidermy mount for sale, posed walking across a custom-made wall hanging rock base. The Porcupine features the classic sharp quills, good undercoat fur, a professionally tanned hide, and excellent taxidermy craftsmanship. The custom-made wall-hanging base is made from our in-house poured lightweight rocks with faux vegetation accents. All applicable measurements and dimensions are provided in the specifications section to help ensure this item will fit within your intended space, as well as meet expectations regarding the item’s featured attribute sizes, scores, etc. 

– There are two hangers on the back of the rock, set 16 inches apart on the center. 

– The item will hang on two properly anchored drywall screws.

– The Porcupine is removable for easy hanging and shipping! 

Animal Description

About the Porcupine (Erethizon dorsatum)

The porcupine is a very distinct rodent, best known for its large quills, which both serve as a defense against predators and camouflage, which usually appears to be grey, brown, or (rarely) even white. The porcupine can be found throughout the US and in southern Canada, and the northern parts of Mexico. These large rodents are strictly herbivores spending most of their time in trees when feeding. Related species can be found throughout temperate regions of nearly every continent in the world.
