This is an incredible African Cape Buffalo shoulder taxidermy mount. It is posed with the head in a semi upright position looking to the viewer’s right side out into the room. The horns on this Buffalo have an impressive tip-to-tip measurement for 82 4/8″, and combine to achieve a SCI Silver Medal Score of 109 2/8″. It has great hair quality, and expert-quality taxidermy work, earning our Nice Plus™ overall quality rating. All applicable dimensions are included to help ensure this item will fit within your intended display space.

– There is a hanger already attached to the back side of this item.

– It will hang on a single properly anchored drywall screw.

About the Cape Buffalo (Syncerus caffer caffer)

The cape buffalo thrives in virtually all variations of grassland habitats throughout sub-Saharan Africa, from lowland floodplains to dry savannah. The adult cape buffalo has a relatively thin black coat, while calves usually have a browner coat in color. The horns of the cape buffalo are unique in their design, as they actually “fuse” at the crown of the skull, which is referred to as the “boss.” From the base, the horns turn down and then bend up back towards the crown of the skull.
