This is a great African Cape Buffalo shoulder taxidermy mount. It is posed with the head in a sneak position looking straight out into the room. The horns on this Buffalo have an impressive tip-to-tip measurement for 71 6/8″, and combine to achieve a SCI Score of 92 0/8″. It has great hair quality, and expert-quality taxidermy work, earning our Nice Plus™ overall quality rating. All applicable dimensions are included to help ensure this item will fit within your intended display space.

– There is a hanger already attached to the back side of this item.

– It will hang on a single properly anchored drywall screw.

Animal Description

About the Cape Buffalo (Syncerus caffer caffer)

The cape buffalo thrives in virtually all variations of grassland habitats throughout sub-Saharan Africa, from lowland floodplains to dry savannah. The adult cape buffalo has a relatively thin black coat, while calves usually have a browner coat in color. The horns of the cape buffalo are unique in their design, as they actually “fuse” at the crown of the skull, which is referred to as the “boss.” From the base, the horns turn down and then bend up back towards the crown of the skull.
