This is an Excellent African Blesbok shoulder taxidermy mount. It has very good hair and impressive horns, meeting the SCI Bronze medal requirement at 40″. The taxidermy work is also outstanding, earning this item our Excellent™ overall quality rating. All applicable measurements and dimensions are provided to help ensure this item will fit within your intended space, as well as meet expectations regarding the item’s featured attribute sizes, scores, etc… This item would make a great addition to anyones home, office or trophy room decorated in a safari, wildlife or outdoor theme.

– There is a scar under the right eye (possibly from fighting – see pictures).

– There is a hanger already attached to the back of this item.

– It will hang on a single properly anchored drywall screw.

Animal Description

About the Blesbok (Damaliscus pygargus phillipsi)

The White Blesbok (or Blesbuck) is a large antelope found in the southern region of Africa. Blesbok coloration is often a deep sienna or dark brown through the back, with a white blaze found on the face, and a creamy white running down the underbelly, flank and parts of the legs. The White Blesbok, however, has little to no brown coloration and is often a creamy white and tan color throughout the entire body. Both the male and female have ‘ringed’ horns that initially curve backward, with a forward curl towards the tip, and commonly weigh between 125-175 lbs. Blesbok’s preferred habitat includes open plains and grasslands with sources for water. When trying to escape from predators, Blesbok can run at speeds exceeding 40 mph.
