For sale, we have a beautiful North American Black Bear full-size taxidermy rug mount. This rug has a full raised head with an open mouth and features black felt backing, which provides durability and protection against wear. The hide and hair are in good shape, and the rug has been finished with a black felt accent trim.  All these features combine to earn this item our Excellent Plus™ overall quality rating. All applicable dimensions are included to help ensure this item will fit within your intended display space.

– This item is meant to lay flat on the floor or can be fastened to the wall (fasteners not included).

– We do not recommend heavy foot traffic, especially with dirty shoes or boots.

Animal Description

About the Black Bear (Ursus americanus)

Black Bears are North America’s most common and familiar type of bear. Typically found in wooded areas, black bears are native to North America, though most can be found in Canada and the northern United States. The black bear’s diet consists mainly of fruit, plants, and insects, though they also eat fish and small mammals. As the name implies, most of these bears are entirely black, although some can appear cinnamon in color. Males typically weigh in around 300 lbs, while females are usually closer to half that. Weight fluctuates depending on the season, and black bear usually weighs 30% more just before their winter hibernation.
