The hide and hair are in excellent condition, and the rug has been finished with a black and cream furled accent trim. The Jackal rug is best displayed on the floor, but foot traffic is not recommended, as it will damage the hair. About the Jackal (Canis aureus)
The Jackal is often found in valleys or near small water bodies of Africa, Asia, and parts of southeast Europe. This is a carnivorous species and are similar in size to a Red Fox we see in North America. Their pelage is a light grey to orange resembling a Gray Fox coat pattern. Jackals are monogamous species, meaning they breed pairs for life and work as one when they hunt for prey.
