This rug is best displayed on the floor, but it can be hung on the wall (d-loops are not provided). If this piece is displayed on the floor, we do not recommend foot traffic as it can damage the hair. About the Kodiak Brown Bear (Ursus arctos middendorffi)
The Kodiak Brown Bear has become a distinguished subspecies due to their island habitat isolation. They get their name from the island they inhabit, Kodiak Island and Admiralty Islands. Living on this island for so long without any immigration or emigration, they have become genetically diversified, thus classifying them as a new subspecies of Brown Bear. This bear is, in fact, the largest known subspecies of Brown Bear weighing up to 1500 lbs.
