Description

This is a beautiful Black Bear taxidermy rug. This bear is mounted in a great open mouth pose and comes with two layers of felt backing for display. Great hide and hair condition along with great quality taxidermy combine to make a beautiful rug.

– Best for display on the floor. This item could also be hung on the wall if the buyer choose to pin or nail it up.
– We do not recommend foot traffic, especially with boots or dirty shoes. Clean tennis shoes, slippers or socks will extend the life of the rug if it must be walked on.

Animal Description

About the Black Bear (Ursus americanus)

Black Bears are North America’s most common and familiar type of bear. Typically found in wooded areas, black bears are native to North America, though most can be found in Canada and the northern United States. The black bear’s diet consists mainly of fruit, plants, and insects, though they also eat fish and small mammals. As the name implies, most of these bears are entirely black, although some can appear cinnamon in color. Males typically weigh in around 300 lbs, while females are usually closer to half that. Weight fluctuates depending on the season, and black bear usually weighs 30% more just before their winter hibernation.
