About the Blue Duiker (Philantomba monticola)

The Blue Duiker is the smallest of the duiker species. Its primary habitats are the fringes of the open savannas and tropical forests of Africa. Compared to other variations of the duiker, they have small stout vertical horns and smaller deer-shaped bodies, which allow them to run faster and for longer distances. The duiker is an omnivore, but it does tend to mostly diet on seeds and fruits since it is very particular about consuming only the most nutritious parts of the plant.
