About the Grey Partridge (Perdix perdix)

The grey (or Hungarian) partridge is a relatively small, “rotund” game-bird with a burnt-orange face and throat, gray/green beak, and speckled grey, white and brown plumage. The partridge is natively distributed throughout it’s original habitat of Europe, where they feed on grass, seeds and insects. The Hungarian Partridge has been introduced to many locations worldwide as a popular game bird.
