Animal Description

About the Blue-Winged Teal (Anas discors)

The blue-winged teal is a smaller dabbling duck distributed throughout North America. Adult males have a grey-blue head with a white crescent mark on their face. Their bodies are brown with blue feathers on the base of their wings. Females lack the white crescent but have the blue feathers on the base of their wings.
