About the Tiger Musky (Esox masquinongy)

The Tiger Musky is a hybrid of the true breeding musky and the northern pike. The Tiger Musky is a species native to most of the midwest and even extends into Canada. The elusive musky is also known as the fish of 10,000 casts because of the challenge it presents to land one. The Tiger Musky is a predatory fish, meaning it feeds on other species of fish that get too close to the weeds they are often lurking in. Interestingly enough, although this is a hybrid but is known to grow faster and stronger than the parents, it came from making it potentially more superior. This fish called the Tiger Musky is the very distinguished black stripes that run the length of the cylindrical body of the fish.
