This is a wonderful Common Carp taxidermy fish mount, posed facing the viewer’s right side with an open mouth. This carp measures 26″ in length, 17.75″ in length, and an estimated live weight of 11.75 lbs.  The fins, painting, and taxidermy work are all in terrific condition, earning our Excellent Plus™ overall quality rating. All applicable dimensions are included to help ensure this item will fit within your intended display space.

Animal Description

About the Common Carp (Cyprinus carpio)

This species is native to the lakes and large rivers of Europe and Asia and has since been introduced to the Untied States as a domesticated species. This fish species prefers slow moving water bodies with aquatic sedimentation. Carp are omnivorous meaning they eat both vegetation and insects that they find scavenging on the bottom. These fish are known to lay nearly 300,000 eggs per spawn and can lay over million eggs in a year.
