About the Dingo (Canis lupus dingo)

The dingo is endemic to Australia and is a member of the Canidae family. The dingo is often seen in 3 variable coat colors ranging from a light tan to nearly black. Like most members of the canid family, Dingos are opportunistic feeders, feeding on small rodents, scavenging, and other smaller invertebrates. This dog is built for hunting, and its body physique reflects that with its sleek and muscular frame. These animals can cover areas up to 60km in a single night seeking food and are often seen hunting in packs, but when they aren’t, they won’t target the larger prey they are capable of taking.
