This is a terrific Whitetail Deer shoulder taxidermy mount, posed in an upright position looking to the viewer’s right side out into the room. This buck has great hair and hide quality, and a massive set of antlers that achieve a SCI Gold Medal Score of 161 5/8″. This antler configuration on this piece is very desirable and are affectionately referred to as a “high and tight” rack. This rack configuration is desirable to many people because the antlers display in a very regal fashion.  All this combined with masterful craftsmanship earns this item our Premier Plus™ overall quality rating. About the Whitetail Deer (Odocoileus virginianus)

The Whitetail Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) is one of the most commonly recognized animals in all of North America. The male whitetail deer is often referred to as a ‘Buck” and can grow to 300 lbs, producing antlers that are fully grown and shed annually. Whitetail deer are hunted in nearly every state throughout the U.S., with trophy-class antlered males being the most desirable. Their habitat includes everything from the open prairie to deep forests, making them extremely adaptable to various surroundings. Whitetail deer have a specialized stomach that allows them to eat plants, shoots, and grass, as well as various mushrooms that are otherwise toxic to humans.
